PROJECT: Tree and Organic Vegetable Planting

$5,000 to purchase and plant over 400 trees to combat climate change and to purchase organic vegetable seeds and starters so that 120 village families in four villages could grow healthy produce and sell the vegetables in the market to provide income for their families. Three community garden plots were also purchased with this funding. Not only is there extreme heat in Myanmar but the military continues to set villages on fire and kill its own people. Food means life for these people.
